Carrera at Pitti Uomo in January

The Foldable Helmet and Icons eyewear at Fortezza da Basso for the 85th edition of the fashion event

The bicycle is becoming an increasingly popular way of getting about the city for work or pleasure. This is why CARRERA created the FOLDABLE HELMET, an attractive accessory and the inseparable companion of city-bike enthusiasts who want to move quickly and safely, but without foregoing style.

For the 85th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, Carrera will convey the bike world in an installation that is sure to arouse the curiosity of a cosmopolitan public at Fortezza da Basso: the space opposite the first floor of the Costruzioni Lorenesi will host a cycle polo hard court, where two pairs of players will compete three times a day. Between one game and another, players and spectators will be able to relax in the exclusive Carrera Clubhouse, a lounge where they can admire and check out (also on an actual bike ride!) the complete range of Carrera helmets and corresponding sunglasses.

THE FOLDABLE HELMET – A CARRERA EXCLUSIVE

Practical and lightweight with an innovative design inspired by the leather helmets worn by the historical pistards, the top of the range PREMIUM EDITION of the FOLDABLE HELMET is available in three sophisticated metal colors − Matte Black, Matte Dark Gray and Matte White. Featuring refined finishes in leather and soft touch material, they are a must-have for lovers of exclusive items. But if you prefer bright colors, there are also shiny versions in Blue, Orange, White, Purple, Black, Lime and Red. An explosion of color for anyone who wants to be noticed while pedaling in the city.

The exclusive, patented "rib" structure not only guarantees a perfect fit and maximum flexibility, but also absolute comfort and constant ventilation thanks to the slits across the entire length of the helmet. And all without compromising safety in accordance with EN 1078 certification. Being extremely practical is another important characteristic of the FOLDABLE HELMET: when closed with the included lockable belt, it is 20% smaller and fits easily into a bag.

CARRERA MODS. 6000 and 6010

Since 1956, Carrera has drawn inspiration from the brand's history, which has enabled it to establish the success of its collections thanks to the reinterpretation of a unique and distinctive style through the use of modern colors and innovative design. The Carrera 6000s also come directly from the brand's historical archives. The frame in Optyl, an ultra-light plastic material, is characterized by the unmistakable shape of the temples − a stylistic feature of Carrera 6000 − and comes in numerous different colors. The timeless design of a creation suitable for any season.

Carrera 6010, the new version of the iconic Carrera 6000, is characterized by a two-color sheet metal front combined with shaped plastic temples and a metal-finish logo. In a variety of colors for an indispensable must-have.

CARRERA 6008

The authentic tapered shape of Carrera 6008 sunglasses conjures up the brand's universal and timeless aptitude whereas the combination of rubber and metal details guarantees exclusiveness. The colors are in perfect tune with those of the FOLDABLE HELMET PREMIUM EDITION: front in dark Havana with black temples, front in light Havana with white temples, and a black front with brown temples.

CARRERA CYCLOTOWN FLORENCE

Carrera expresses its "racing attitude" by taking a team of city bikers to Florence. Wearing the original Carrera Foldable Helmet and the brand's most iconic sunglasses, the team will go to the event hot spots in the city during Pitti Immagine Uomo.

The Carrera Bike Messengers will gift "Carrera Cyclotown Firenze", a guide (soon to be available as an app) dedicated to anyone who wants a different experience of urban life by riding a bike, discovering several locations grouped by "Ruote&Co." (cycle stores and repair shops), "Ritrovi" (i.e. venues such as restaurants, clubs, bars) and "Stile" (places for arts and shopping). A unique and innovative way of discovering unexplored itineraries within the city limits.
