Fleye reinterprets carbon fiber eyewear

Annette Saust Esto: "MIDO is exciting and we have very high expectations for the Carbon collection"

"This year's Mido will be especially exciting for us because we will be presenting a carbon fiber collection with truly unique adjustment possibilities and color combinations. We have very high expectations for the Carbon Collection!" Annette Saust Esto, Fleye cofounder and creative director, describes the Danish company's feelings about MIDO 2014.

Fear, hope, confidence. In what frame of mind will the eyewear industry in general and your company in particular face 2014?

"2014 will be a year of hard competition because there are many nice frames on the market. We expect to fight hard for all orders and go the extra mile to meet our customers' needs. We cross our fingers that they will love our new style in design and that they will keep appreciating our award-winning service standard. Hopefully we will also be able to attract some new customers."

Obviously we have to ask about the new products you'll present at MIDO this year.

"FLEYE will be launching a brand new concept in carbon fiber eyewear. Carbon fiber in a new way. Beta-titanium temples ensure the glasses can be adjusted for the perfect fit. Lenses are surprisingly easy to mount in the carbon fiber fronts. And finally, colorful temples light up the dark fronts."

What will be the successful factor for eyewear 2014?

"To be a successful eyewear designer in 2014, you need to be very focused on producing shapes that fit the many different faces that people have. Also, it's crucial to use comfortable and lightweight materials that cause no allergies."
