New developments in the agreement between Adlens® and Mondottica

In February the joint-venture will become a service agreement

Mondottica - the international group that produces and distributes prestigious eyewear through exclusive license agreements – and Adlens® – which specializes in the development and sale of variable focus lenses – have announced developments in their collaboration relationship. On February 1, 2014, the joint-venture between the two companies became a service agreement: Adlens® will handle European clients and Mondottica will provide the Oxford-based company with operating support in addition to distributing Adlens® products in certain geographical areas.

Michael C Ferrara, Adlens® CEO and Executive Chairman, explained: "Adlens® has just completed the most profitable quarter of 2013 and is preparing to launch a new variable focus technological platform in 2014. With the continual development of new technologies and the expansion of our range of products to meet consumers' requests, our collaboration with Mondottica will cover new fields in the future."

Mondottica founder Michael Jardine commented: "During our partnership we were able to identify certain fundamental areas where we can be complementary. By raising the agreement to a more advanced level, the Mondottica team will be able to concentrate on what we know we do best: offering high quality products to our clients throughout the world."

All clients have been personally informed about the changes by the Adlens® sales team headed by international sales director Drew Oppermann. As in the past, the Mondottica team will continue to receive and handle orders for Adlens®. In addition to fulfilling its current commitments, Adlens® will take part in Mido together with Mondottica (stand K01 L02, pavilion 13, March 1-3 in Milan) whereas new shared projects are at the development stage.
