AIO presents sixth “Graziella Pagni” International Award

In Milan for the occasion, the seminar "a new point of view: communication becomes social"

Again this year, the Maestro Ottico event will be preceded by the customary conference on the evolution of communication in the world of optics organized by AIO (Italian opticians' association), sponsored by MIDO and with scientific direction by Sergio Baratelli of Ogilvy & Mather.


The conference will take place Thursday, September 20 at the StarHotel, Milan, and in addition to examining the evolution of sunglasses communications in general and specialist magazines in Italy, elsewhere in Europe and in the USA, this year it will focus also on current communication in optical stores.


The meeting titled "A new point of view: communication becomes social" will analyze the current scenario that is much more complex and based on the digital technologies that are now the norm for today's consumers, a new way of using media based on dialog and participation. New media is a totally different way of bringing people closer to brands and people themselves become media by evangelizing brands, talking about them on blogs and sometimes sparking off viral effects that are highly contagious. These interesting subjects will be discussed by Ogilvy & Mather creative director Paolo Iabichino.


As customary, at the end of the seminar attendees will be shown the visuals selected by the magazines and the Award scientific committee and will vote for the winner of the Perseo, which will be presented during the Maestro Ottico event at Palazzo Vecchio, Florence, in October.
